Interogo Foundation demerger
Interogo Foundation will demerge into two separate enterprise foundations (Unternehmensstiftung) as of 31 August 2023. The new Inter IKEA Foundation will be the ultimate owner of Inter IKEA Holding B.V., the IKEA related business. Interogo Foundation will continue to be the ultimate owner of Interogo Holding AG, the investment business.
The purpose of the two enterprise foundations will be identical, namely to secure independence and longevity of the IKEA Concept and the financial reserves needed to ensure this. Inter IKEA Foundation will focus on governing the IKEA business and secure independence and longevity of the IKEA Concept. Interogo Foundation will focus on governing the investment business and secure the necessary financial reserves.
The demerger will further strengthen business focus and simplify alignment with upcoming regulations. It will enable the two businesses to keep different financial years and to continue operating in a decentralised and efficient way.
