Where we come from

The culture and values of Interogo Holding reflect the entrepreneurial spirit of the late Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA.

The Interogo Holding group was introduced in its independent form in 2016, however our roots go all the way back to 1989 and the founding of Interogo Foundation, our ultimate owner.

Our heritage and values

Our values are rooted in the Småland region of Sweden, where Ingvar Kamprad was born and grew up and IKEA was founded.

The stonewalls of Småland, the symbol of our heritage, were the result of hard work, commitment and togetherness. It was a heavy and tiring task to dig out and pick up the stones from the soil, but vitally necessary as it enabled the local people to cultivate the land. It was a lesson in the true value of working together.

Smålanders are known for being thrifty and innovative, with a straightforward and no-nonsense approach to problem-solving or business challenges. This ‘Småland’ legacy is built into our culture and values that impact the way we do business today. Learn more about our heritage
